Hargrove’s business model is a simple one. Our people are our greatest asset – decades of experience and attention to detail are an invaluable cumulative resource. We also enjoy a good old-fashioned, face-to-face work environment at our 77-acre, 400,000 square-foot headquarters just outside Washington, DC.

Events

In addition to every presidential inaugural since 1949, Hargrove’s portfolio of events includes America’s Bicentennial Celebrations in 1976, the 50th Anniversary of the NATO Summit, the Desert Storm Homecoming Celebration, Pope John Paul II Papal Visit, the G-8 Summit in 2004, and political conventions for both the Republican and Democratic parties.We've also enjoyed lighting the National Christmas Tree for more than half a century. Producing signature events of this magnitude solidifies the exemplary quality and reliability which are synonymous with the Hargrove name. From stage sets for televised award shows to original Christmas décor for the US Chamber of Commerce, from employee conferences for one of the world’s largest business consulting firms to customer appreciation events for up-and-coming technology vendors, from world-shaping policy conferences to fabulous fashion shows, from patriotic themes to outrageous flights of fancy, Hargrove has been turning client concepts to reality for more than half a century.

Trade Shows

Trade shows are not about tables and chairs and pipe and drape and carpet anymore. Trade shows are about experiential marketing. Producing a show is creating a 3-D extension of a brand, adding value to that brand in every detail. Hargrove clients enjoy a strategic partnership that extends beyond logistics and labor. Hargrove puts the “show” in trade shows and helps clients put their shows on the road nationwide.


Hargrove began its trade show business in 1961, transforming thousands of blank square footage into bustling trade show exhibit halls, engaging conference sessions and creative, comfortable entertaining areas. As a national general services contractor, Hargrove provides services to trade shows ranging from 50 to 3,500 booth shows. With more than 200 trade show events across America each year, including several in TSW’s Fastest 50 and Trade Show 200, our professional staff has working knowledge of venues all over the country. Notable show clients include Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Expo, the American Society of Association Executives & The Center, Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Crafts and The Washington Auto Show.


All of our clients, large and small, are treated to the latest in technology tools, from exhibitor services and show kits to online proof review and approval tools for graphics and signage. Understanding the changing needs of show managers and exhibitors, Hargrove is continually adding functionality to serve our customers. This is an organic process that regularly turns the challenges of one show into the opportunities of another.

Custom Exhibits

In 1977, Hargrove established a business unit dedicated to designing, building and managing custom exhibits. Over the last four decades, Hargrove has become a pioneer in custom exhibits, employing creative- and account professionals with a true understanding of experiential marketing, traffic flow and trade show operations. Marquee clients include both mobile and permanent installations for MTV Networks, Madison Square Garden, Quadramed, OpNext, the American Cancer Society, International Paper, Sony Ericsson, Edelman, A&E, Fox News Network, MGM at Foxwoods and the Smithsonian Institution.


Many of our exhibit clients rely on a range of our services including, custom and rental exhibits, program management, product launches, strategic planning, graphic design and production, show services, logistics, inventory management and warehousing. Over time, Hargrove has developed some of the industry’s most advanced technology and workflow tools to streamline the customer experience.
