Tim McGill

Chief Executive Officer

“We’re big enough to handle even the most complex projects, but small enough to ensure our clients receive an extraordinary level of service. Clients want a flexible service approach and a true partner who will focus on the details as well as the bigger picture. As the industry evolves, we keep focused on what our clients need from us and as a result we continue to grow.”

As chief executive officer of Hargrove, Tim McGill’s profound knowledge of the industry and strategic forethought has helped Hargrove to enjoy near tripled growth over the past decade.  As the Chief Executive Officer, Tim has led the effort to expand and diversify the company through his commitment to investments in infrastructure, technology, sales and marketing.

Tim first joined Hargrove in the 1980s as a tradeshow Account Executive.  He ultimately became Vice President of the Trade Show division.

Tim and his wife Carla Hargrove McGill became owners of the company in March 2008.  Now a certified woman-owned business, Hargrove was founded in 1946 by Carla’s father, Earl Hargrove, Jr.

As he focuses on the health and growth of the company, Tim also plays an integral role in the industry as an expert in labor relations and market analysis.  He regularly participates in industry advancing organizations and is widely quoted in trade and business publications.  Tim was named to SmartCEO magazine’s class of 2010 and was a founding member of the Trade Show Contractors Association of Washington, DC.  He currently serves as the Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) Representative on the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) Board of Directors.

Tim’s commitment to furthering the association and non-profit industries is evidenced in Hargrove’s generous donation to the ASAE Foundation’s Leadership Society in 2014.  Along with Carla, Tim supports a number of philanthropic endeavors, including the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Maryland.

A graduate of Georgia State University, he and Carla live in Annapolis, Maryland with their daughter, Kelsey.
