01 CHALLENGE

The State Department challenged Hargrove to deliver a sophisticated and secure international forum at which world leaders could engage and discuss necessary steps in for securing nuclear materials.

02 SOLUTION

Global leaders, from 56 countries, all coming together to discuss change and demonstrate commitment among the highest levels of their countries.

As the event designer and general service contractor, our team was responsible for the project management, master budget, schedule, event services, design, décor, construction, graphics, signage, rentals, furniture and comprehensive media services. Our team became an extension of the State Department’s Major Events and Conferences Staff, ensuring seamless planning and production of this highly visible, international meeting.

Custom features included:

a 55 feet in circumference, 3D fabrication of the Summit logo, accented by LEDs and rigged above the Leaders’ Plenary table;

three 36-foot-long LED screens that allowed for a 360° video presentation to launch the first meeting;

an international Press Center large enough to include 800 media workstations, and

a concurrent expo hosted by the Nuclear Energy Institute.

03 RESULTS

This Summit achieved tangible improvements in the security of nuclear materials and stronger international institutions that support nuclear security.
